Gemstones and Gemmology

Gemstones identified and tested.
All types of gemstone can be obtained on approval for you to choose from.
Diamonds, in fancy colours or 'white' (colourless,) can be obtained on approval.
Your own stones can be set, and may be tested to find out if they are synthetic, treated or imitation.
Some treatments and synthetics can only be detected in a laboratory. Certificates, including diamond grading certificates, can be obtained for you from the Gem-A laboratory.
Cultured pearls of any colour can be obtained on approval.
There are many more stones available than are normally found in high street shops: tourmaline, alexandrite, jade, black opal, chrysoberyl, different colours of sapphire and diamond. Emeralds, rubies, aquamarines, almost any type of stone can be obtained for you.
We conform to the Kimberley Process to ensure that we do not sell 'conflict diamonds'.

Commissioning a specially designed piece

If you wish, you can provide the starting point for your new
design yourself.
Steven will design your new piece in front of you and give you a price estimate.
You will not see the same piece of jewellery on someone else.
By coming direct to the maker and designer, you do not
pay a 'middle man' .
Special wedding rings can be designed to fit next to any shape of engagement ring.
Jewellery can be made using different colours of gold, such as rose or white, as well as yellow. Other metals include platinum, silver with gold details and palladium.
White gold is not plated with rhodium, unless required, thus avoiding the problems caused by the coating wearing off.
Any type of gemstone and diamond can be obtained on approval, for you to choose from.
All jewellery is hallmarked at the London Assay office, we are members the Gemmological Association and Gem Testing Laboratory of Great Britain.

Re-cycling old jewellery
a specialist service

Old or broken gold and platinum jewellery can be incorporated into a new design
Re-cycling benefits the environment.
You only pay for the design and making, not all of the raw materials.
The re-designing service starts at £250.00.
Heirlooms that have great sentimental value can be worn again, in a new form, instead of sitting in a jewellery box.
Wedding, engagement, birthday or anniversary rings can incorporate precious metal or stones from inherited jewellery.
When you visit the showroom, you can see exclusive jewellery which may help you decide on your new design. Steven will design your new piece in front of you.
Your jewellery will be tested and hallmarked at the London Assay Office, this guarantees the purity of precious metals.
Gemstones can be identified by our gemmologist.
